Our Miracle

This coming week I will be spending my time preparing for my little girl's 5th birthday.  She likes all the things I hated as a child, pink, dresses, dolls, princesses...you get the picture.  While I would have seen climbing trees or bashing around with bits and bobs in my Dad's garage a good way to spend my time, Tehya is far too busy doing the Ice Cream freeze and striking her pose!

I could spend this entire blog telling you of our 3 year struggle for children. I could go into the depths of the tests that were carried out on both Scott and I; our thoughts, feelings and decisions that we made throughout this journey. All this can be interesting, it lets you into another persons world but it can take away from the most important thing the destination or outcome. It can take us away from how truely amazing God is because we are too busy thinking "no!", "I can't believe it".

So I will simply say GOD answered our prayers and gave us our miracle...her name is Tehya

Eyes that glisten, skin so pure and smooth.
Hair golden and lips soft pink.
A body beautifully proportioned but somehow unable to do all it wants to.
A mind overflowing, able to understand and question.
A voice so sweet, a voice so sour.
Within you a sensitive, dicerning nature not often seen in one so young, but it's a part of you.
Your laugh infectious as it sprinkles through the room.
Your ways bringing delight and smiles as one looks at those eyes that glisten.
